Lissadell Fringe Festival 2010

Sligo really came alive at the weekend with the premier Westlife homecoming concert and
the Leonard Cohen performance dominating conversations throughout the county
as over 30,000 came to savour the music of the international artistes.

The events put Sligo firmly on the map and is expected to host more
concerts of such calibre over the coming years.

In the town, the Fringe Festival was deemed a tremendous success.
Visitors speaking to SLIGO TODAY praised the organisers and all had a
special complimentary comment on the Sligo Ambassadors, all volunteers.
