McLoughlin encourages submissions on Strandhill Plan

Sligo Co Council has indicated that it will review the local area plan for Strandhill and prepare a Mini-Plan which will be incorporated in the Current Development Plan.

Submissions are currently been sought from the general public in Strandhill including residents, business people and public agencies, following this process a Draft Mini-Plan will be prepared.

Eventually this plan will be part of the Sligo County Development Plan which will set out the detailed strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of County Sligo.

Deputy McLoughlin who has represented the area on Sligo County Council up and until his election to the Dail has stated; “that some important proposals for Strandhill will be outlined in the Draft Mini Plan including; walking and cycling paths, wastewater treatment works, special protection areas and of course zoning maps so therefore it is imperative the collective community of Strandhill has their say before the closing date which is August 31st ”, concluded the Sligo/Leitrim Deputy.
