October 7th to 9th 2016
Winning an international award is something everybody should be proud off. Last year Sligo won the Purple Flag, an international award that celebrates excellence in the evening and night-time of a city or town, specifically it's safety, culture and the variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and venues for arts and culture.
To celebrate Sligo successfully retaining the Purple Flag award in 2016 and to join in the Purple Flag Weekend celebrations that will be held in 65 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland on October 7th – 9th, Sligo Business Improvement District (BID) have organised two prizes to be won: a €250 cash prize for individuals and a €250 cash prize for a local business.
The competitions will run over the National Purple Flag weekend, entry closing date is October 10th. ‘Best Purple Shop Front’
