A man in his thirties is due in court this morning in relation to a fatal stabbing in Waterford.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Gardaí were called to New Street in the city where they discovered that a 28-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to University Hospital Waterford where he was pronounced dead.
A 35-year-old man was arrested nearby, and questioned under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act.
He is due to appear before Waterford District Court at 10:30am this morning.
Meanwhile three men appeared before a special sitting of Trim District Court at 7.30pm last night charged in connection with a cash in transit robbery outside a bank on Friday.
The men had been arrested and a gun recovered following a Garda operation in Dunboyne, Co Meath on October 7.
The operation was lead by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and involving a number of garda units, including the Special Crime Task Force.
The men, all in their 30s, were detained at Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations for questioning over the weekend.
