This coming Saturday, People Before Profit will host their first ever regional conference in the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo from 10.30am – 6pm.
The day has been organised by various branches throughout the West and Northwest including Donegal, Cavan, Galway, Roscommon, Leitrim and is hosted by PBP Sligo. A day of political debate and discussion with speakers including recently elected Bríd Smith TD and Gerry Carroll MLA.
There will be discussions on racism, repeal the 8th amendment, the global economy and an important segment on Rural Ireland; in which agriculture, fisheries, natural resources and the need for state investment will be debated.
The conference will be opened by PBP Cllr. Gino O'Boyle who said "People Before Profit feel such an event is timely as we are now the fastest growing political movement in the country with 46 branches nationwide. As it is a grassroots movement it is important peoples views and opinions from these regions are heard"
