A Sligo garda has appeared at Sligo District Court charged with having the drug, PVP, for sale or supply. Jimell Henry of Cairns Hill, Sligo is alleged to have committed the offence at SuperValu car park, Ballysadare on January 16th 2015.
The value of the drug is put at €250.
Inspector Tom Colsh gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution. He said the defendant made no reply when the charge was out to her.
The Inspector said the DPP had directed the matter be dealt with summarily in the District Court. There was no objection to the Garda's own bail.
The defendant was represented by Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor. The case was adjourned to March 31st next for mention.The defendant is also facing fifteen separate charges before the Circuit Court relating to the alleged disclosing of information obtained during the course of her duties as a member of An Garda Siochana

She is also charged with the unlawful possession of cocaine on January 16, 2015 at Tullymagracken North, Sligo.
