Virgin broadband, mobile, telly service fault
Customers complained about broadband failure affecting TV, internet and mobile services.
Virgin Media Ireland released a statement shortly after 10.15pm last night.
It confirmed: “We know a number of our broadband customers are experiencing a break in service (and) a fix is currently underway.''
Following the statement, one customer retorted saying that “the entire country” was experiencing problems.
A company spokesman told The Irish Independent online: ''You are quite right.''
Meanwhile, some viewers reported the company's cable service was unable to screen BBCs Match of the Day in areas of Sligo last Saturday night.
''Screens were blank for the duration of the programme,'' said one local subscriber.
Annual charges for Virgin Media are due to increase in three weeks time, a recent email informed customers.
