Emirates Airline is to provide Sligo's VOYA beauty products to business and first class passengers, it has announced. The luxury airline, based out of Dubai, is introducing an exclusive range of the Strandhill-based company's skincare products for passengers who can afford to stump up from €2,199 a ticket (the lead-in business class fare from Dublin to Dubai).
The range includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cleanser, body moisturiser, hand wash, soap and hand cream. VOYA goodies will also be available in the on-board shower on A380 flights, as well as first and business class washrooms.
It's another big coup for a West of Ireland company whose seaweed-based products already sell in 37 countries and feature in luxury resorts ranging from Kndolhu Island in the Maldives to the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai. After freshening up with Sligo's finest, premium passengers can also slip into "the world's first moisturising lounge wear designed for an airline".
The pyjamas will feature in First Class cabins on overnight long haul flights, Emirates says. They've been developed using 'Hydra Active Microcapsule Technology' to keep skin hydrated during the flight.
Coincidentally, the pampering PJs also use seaweed.
"The patented technology uses billions of capsules applied to the fabric which gently releases naturally-moisturising Sea Kelp during movement," it says.
