THE MINISTER for Justice wants the programme for building new Garda stations, including Sligo, to now move ahead ''in a timely way.''
Frances Fitzgerald referred to three new stations when she spoke in the Dáil yesterday, Thursday.
The stations are at Sligo, Clonmel in Tipperary and Macroom in Cork.
A public private partnership will deliver these stations, including Sligo, said the Minister.

The matter was raised yesterday by independent TD Mattie McGrath who sought details of the plans for a new station in Clonmel.
