He holds 27 acres of land at Carrownanty, near Ballymote, says the Register.

Scanlon says he owns a block of four apartments at Keash Road, Ballymote.

He also owns a house at No 6 Keenaghan Close, Ballymote, which has a ''family member residing.''

Ownership of his family home at Keenaghan, Ballymote is separately declared in the latest Register.

Apartment No 23 at 29 James Walk, Rialto, Dublin 8 is also owned by Deputy Scanlon.

A ''family member residing'' at that address is noted in the new Dail Register of Members Interests.

The Ballymote TD also states that he has the Keash Inn rented to a family resource centre.

His auctioneers office at Lord Edward Street, Ballymote also houses a ''political office'' and ''Chinese take-away.''

Scanlon's auctioneering firm also carried out works for Sligo County Council in 2016 re nine families affected by works on the N4 and N17 roads.

Added Scanlon: ''Our firm has not received any payment for these services in 2016.''

Investment Property

Marc MacSharry, Fianna Fáil's newly elected TD in 2016, also owns property outside Sligo.

He has ''investment property'' at 31 Ros an Glas, Galway currently rented out.

His 2016 entry in the Register of Interests also declares ownership of a half acre site at Cappagh Road, Galway.

Along with two of his other colleagues, MacSharry declares ownership of his family home -- at Bocage, Culleenamore.

MacSharry declares ''half share'' ownership of the investment property, acreage and family home.

He also lists Marc MacSharry Properties, his auctioneering firm based at Knockaderry House, Stephen Street.

The new Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny is director of a company which has ''never traded.''

That company is H+M Innovation Ltd with an address in Aughavas, Co Leitrim.

Kenny also declares ownership of his family home at Cloonsarn, Aughavas.

Meanwhile, another Sligo Leitrim TD had nothing at all to declare.

Tony McLoughlin holds no property or shares, says his declaration in the latest Register.

The 104 pages of declarations by the 158 members of the current Dail can be viewed online on the website page for the Oireachtas.

Details of previous declarations for Dáil and Seanad members are included in the online file.
