Saturday 15 Hole Stableford

Saturday’s 15 hole stableford competition was played in cool and damp conditions but the standard of play was not affected as five players were within 2 points of the winning score.

Ciaran Duffy took first place with a score of 32 points. Ciaran scored a total of five pars over the course of his 15 holes with three on the front eight and the remaining two on the back seven holes as well as adding a birdie on the par four eight hole to take first place with his score of 32 points.

Second place was taken by Peter Mahoney, also with a score of 32 points. Peter notched up a total of seven pars over his round with four on the front eight and the remaining three on the back seven as well as getting his round off to the perfect start with an eagle on the first hole to ensure he took second place with a score of 32 points.

Third place was taken by Gerry Fox with a score of 31 points. Gerry scored a total of nine pars over his round with five on the front eight and four on the back seven as well as adding birdies on holes seven and nine to secure third place with a score of 31 points.

Sunday 15 Hole Stableford

Sunday’s 15 hole stableford competition was played in similar conditions to the previous day but despite this, some outstanding scores were returned.

Martin Currid took first place with an excellent score of 37 points for 15 holes. Martin scored a total of eight pars over the course of his 15 holes with four on the front eight and the remaining four on the back seven holes to ensure he took first place with his score of 37 points.

Second place was taken by Stephen English with a score of 35 points. Stephen sank a total of nine par putts over the course of the round with six on the front eight and the remaining three on the back seven holes as well as adding birdies on the fifth, fourteenth and sixteenth holes respectively to take second place with his score of 35 points.

Third place was taken by Kenneth Henry, also with a score of 35 points. Kenneth put together a round consisting of ten pars with six on the front eight and the remaining four on the back seven as well as adding birdies on the fifth, eighth and seventeenth holes resp
