AN UNFINISHED private housing estate near Sligo may finally be completed in the near future.
Carnarvon have told planners Sligo County Council they now wish to rekindle an expired permission to build 27 extra houses.
That had been granted to the original developers at Aylesbury Park, Knappaghmore.
Sligo TD Tony McLoughlin raised the issue in the Dail earlier this week.

residents could make their estate safe from a health and safety
The estate was not named in the Dail query or reply by the Minister.
MInister Coveney pointed out he was precluded by law from getting involved in specific cases.
But he explained the recent planning application submitted by Carnarvon, new owners of the unfinished site in the estate.
Documents recently lodged with Sligo County Council suggest specific plans for the unfinished Sligo site.
Carnarvon propose twenty four semi detached houses and three terraced houses, all two storey, to complete the estate.

Added the Minister: ''The portion of the lands which has been left unfinished has recently been sold.

the completion of this unfinished part of the overall development,''
Deputy McLoughlin was told.
