Joining Kellys from world-wide locations at their Gathering this year will be the American Author, Tonii Marie Kelly. The International Gathering which is supported by Clare County Council takes place on the weekend of 19-21 May at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Co Clare.
Tonii Marie Kelly, who hails from Florida, has written several books including the thriller, Antonio’s Glove which is set in 1980’s Cuba. She is the editor of Guaire, the local community magazine for Gort and surrounds. Also joining the festivities will be Count Robert W J O'Kelly, The O'Kelly of Gallagh and Tycooley with his wife the Countess Tina.
Included in the weekend’s programme will be a tour of the stunning scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way, presentations from local historian, Paddy Waldron and an update on the Kelly Surname DNA programme which is being given by Aidan Kelly from Western Australia. A Gala Dinner will be the highlight of the Saturday evening, where friends old and new will meet - to the tune of local musicians and other entertainers.
