Sligo Road and Traffic Report - 3 July

MAJOR WORKS:

Sligo City Watermain Rehabilitation and Pearse Road Sewer Network Contract

 
Works commenced on Monday, 26th June on Lower Pearse Road and will continue next week with the same Traffic Management in place.

The street will have a north bound lane closure in place with diversions in place and signs posted.  There are 5 different northbound diversions available at the following locations:

    HGVs should divert off Pearse Road at Mail Coach Road
    Traffic can turn left at Saint Brigids to Mail Coach Road
    Traffic can turn left at Vernon Street to Mail Coach Road.
    Traffic can turn left at Burton Street to High Street
    Traffic can turn right at Vernon St and left to Abbey Street.

    South bound traffic will have minor disruptions with works to start on Thomas St and Teeling St to install Customer Connections and boundary boxes and footpath reconstruction.  Traffic Management will be in place and provision will be made for Pedestrians.  Minor delays can be expected.

A full traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of all the works. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.

Pavement survey works will take place between Wednesday 05th July and Friday 07th July on the N4 Sligo Town between Summerhill roundabout and Hughes Bridge, N15 Tully and the N15 Bunduff. Traffic management will be in operation with medium delays expected.

ENNISCRONE AREA:


Wall construction is continuing at the Cloona Graveyard, Enniscrone. Traffic management is in place. No delays expected.

Pavement survey works will take place between Wednesday 05th July and Friday 07th July on the N59 Ballysadare Village and the N59 Castleconnor. Traffic management will be in operation with medium delays expected.

Road restoration will be carried out in Parke on the R297. A convoy system will be in operation. Minor delays expected. A 50Km/Hr speed limit will be in operation within the work site.

A road survey will be carried out on the N59 at Carraun/Knockbrack on Monday and Tuesday 3rd-4th July. A stop/go system will be in operation. Minor delays expected

TUBBERCURRY AREA:


Pavement survey works will take place between Wednesday 05th July and Friday 07th July on the N17 Tobertelly and the N17 Curry. Traffic management will be in operation with medium delays expected.

Verge trimming works will continue on the N17 Collooney to Bellahy from Monday 3rd July 2017.  Traffic control will be in operation with significant delay expected. Works will continue for 1 week.  

MINOR WORKS:

SLIGO CITY AREA:


Pavement survey works will continue in Sligo town at off peak times from 07.00pm till 04.00am.  The works will take place at the junctions of Duck Street with the N4, the junction of Molloway Hill and from Summerhill roundabout north to Hughes Bridge. Traffic management will be in operation with medium delays expected.

Hoarding has been erected at the corner of Lord Edward Street and Union Street. Provision has been made for pedestrian access and works are expected to last several weeks.  Minimal traffic disruption expected.

Ongoing Road Openings to take place at various locations over the coming weeks due to broadband upgrade.  Minimal traffic disruption expected.

SLIGO/STRANDHILL AREA:


Road improvement works will be carried out at Arnasbrack / Cartrontaylor on the L-7606-0   A temporary traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. A 50km/hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

Road improvement works will be carried out at Union /Collooney on the L-7608-0 A temporary traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. A 50km/hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

Road improvement works will be carried out at Kilnamanagh / Glen on the L-2101-25. A temporary traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. A local diversion will be in operation via L-21012-0 Glen. A 50km/hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

Road improvement works will be carried out at Streamstown on the L-6101-18 A temporary traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. A 50km/hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

Road improvement works will be carried out at Corhownagh on the L-6101-38 A temporary traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. A 50km/hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

ENNISCRONE AREA:

Road restoration will commence on the Bunanalira/Corbally South. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided.Diversions via N59/L6605-0 (105) and R297/L6605-0. A 50Km/Hr speed limit will be in operation within the work site.

Road restoration will commence on the L2401-0, Bunowna, Easkey. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided. A 50Km/Hr speed limit will be in operation within the work site.

Road restoration will commence on the L6304-0, Doonmadden. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided. A 50Km/Hr speed limit will be in operation within the work site.

Road restoration will commence on the L6301-0 Aughris. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided. A 50Km/Hr speed limit will be in operation within the work site.

Footpath works will continue in the Hollow, Enniscrone.  Traffic management will be in place, minor delays expected.

Drainage works will be carried out in the Enniscrone area. Traffic management will be in place, minor delays expected.

Pothole repair works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.

BALLYMOTE AREA:

Pothole repair works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.

TUBBERCURRY AREA:


Pothole repair works will continue in the Tubbercurry area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
