With entries are still coming in and looks quite encouraging that the starting field would expected to be in excess of one hundred for the Sligo Stages Rally 2017. Being a round of three prestigious championships, the Triton National , the Sligo Pallets and the Top Part West Coast will each contribute to attracting a broad spectrum of entries.
The starting field will include a highly competitive array of Wrc , R5s , Group N as well as a multiple array of Modified cars . With a lot of points at stake in each of the individual championships , particularly as Sligo slots into mid way on the table , a highly placed finish could be a determine where a crew finishes in the end of year Awards.
Scrutiny takes place on Saturday 8th at North West Business Park in Collooney between 2.30 pm and 8.00pm.
First car departs Parc Ferme located in the Sligo Retail Park in Carraroe at 9.45am on Sunday Morning July 9th.
Throughout the day the three special stages are traversed three times, with cars visiting service in Union Road Business Park following the first two loops.
On route to Service the field of cars will visit Sligo Folk Park for a short stop ,commencing at 11.45 and again at 14.15. This is an ideal opportunity for members of the public to see the rally cars close up , should they not plan spectate on the stages.
The first car is due back at the finish ramp at Sligo Park Hotel at 17.30 Paul O’Donnell (Thomas Connolly Sligo) one of the sponsors this weekend
