Sligo Tourism Ltd and Sligo County Council are working in collaboration to prepare a Strategic Plan for Tourism in County Sligo. This plan will cover the period 2018 to 2023 and aims to be an inclusive and strategic roadmap that will guide the development and direction of the industry in the county.
Part of the development of the plan is to engage in consultation with tourism industry stakeholders to ascertain their views and input for the plan. A number of thematic consultation meetings are scheduled to take place. The Entertainment/Retail Meeting will take place as follows:
Date: Wed. 4 October, 2017.
Time: 3pm - 5pm
Venue: Council Chamber, City Hall, Quay St, Sligo.
Interested businesses are invited to attend.
The meeting will last for approximately 1.5 hours and will examine strategy and actions required to develop this aspect of the tourism industry. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback regarding the overall direction of the strategy. The meeting will be facilitated along the following agenda.1. Overview of the Tourism Industry in Sligo and the requirements of the future Strategy (15 minutes)
2. Broad idea and action generation by participants (20 minutes)
3. Refine and prioritisation of ideas and actions (20 minutes)
4. Open Discussion (30 minutes)
