The mother of missing woman Roisin Dolan has made an emotional appeal for the safe return of her 34-year-old daughter.Jean Dolan has asked for anyone who may have information to come forward and help with her safe return.
Roisin was last seen on Wednesday, October 11 in her hometown of Far Finisklin, Sligo.
Extensive searches instigated by Sligo gardaí, involving local volunteers and the Coast Guard Rescue 118 helicopter, have been taking place over several days concentrating on the docks area. See link below.
Jean spoke to Niall Delaney
on Ocean FM's North West Today
programme to ask anyone who may know of Roisin’s whereabouts to come forward and get her home. She said: “All I know is I woke up one morning around 10 o’clock and she was missing.
“I went to sleep that night around 5 o’clock and when I woke up later at ten there was no Roisin.
“She had been in her bed for the previous four, or five days, a week approximately.
“Just lying in bed and not really saying anything, not eating, not talking, kind of like a zombie.”
Jean added this was unusual for her daughter and it was unlike her to take to her bed for that amount of time.
She added: “Roisin would just be in the room there, on the bed, a black hole.
“I’m sure that people know Roisin, she’s likeable, a very likeable person.”
She asks anyone who might know Roisin’s whereabouts to get in touch.“I especially am just going OTT over the whole thing, I don’t know what to make of it, she just vanished.
“If anyone has any feeling, you know what its like to love somebody very much and to wake up and see that vacant and gone and not know where the person went, it’s heartbreaking.
“I don’t understand anything, I don’t understand what went on what happened.”
Left:: Roisin Dolan has been missing since Wednesday 11 October.
Jean said she was left with question marks and wasn’t aware if anything went on to upset her daughter.
She said: “Roisin if you are out there, if you are listening please, if you hear me please make contact in some way.”
Jean said the her neighbours and friends in Sligo had been great along with the Gardai.
She said she “really appreciated” everyone who was helping out.
She said: “Roisin if you are out there, all I can say is we’d be happy to see you.”
“Roisin if you are listening, where are you, please.
