Samaritans Sligo Star In New Kieran Quinn Video

The fourth release from Kieran Quinn’s highly anticipated new ‘Our Place’ album is ‘I’ll Be There’ featuring the divine vocals of Sinéad Conway is out now!

For this song Kieran approached the Samaritans, Sligo to star in the video to ‘I’ll Be There’. He says “As the title would suggest, the theme of the song is comfort, support, helping someone when they are down, and so when I was thinking of an organisation that would partner well with the song, well I thought immediately of the Samaritans.

Recorded and directed by KDM video production; the video features volunteers Sligo Grammar School and Sligo Samaritans. Rising talent, IT Sligo Performing Arts student Michael Bonner is the lead actor in the video which was made possible due to the support from building contractors John Sisk & Son, Wine Street, Sligo.

‘I’ll be there’ features the sublime voice of Sinéad Conway. Sinead is the lead singer with Ireland’s most versatile band, Anything Goes. Sinead is also a member of The Dublin Gospel Choir and has performed on the main stage at Electric Picnic, The opening of The Aviva Stadium and The Special Olympics among other events.  Honeyed backing vocals on the track are provided by Aileen Concannon, Marie Conway & Luke Devaney. Also featuring on the track is Kelan Walsh on saxophone, Niamh Crowley on violins, Tommy Moore on bass and Steve Kohlmann on drums.

Public reaction has been instant with comments such as “It is the best message to be sent in years …best thing to come out of Sligo in years.” Joe Hanney,  “Beautiful song so touching, well done everyone involved”  Marie McGettrick “Absolutely fabulous with a powerful message” Philomena Burke
