Sligo Gin & Craft Beer Festival

After a busy year in the festival Calendar, Sligo has another brand new addition as the Sligo Gin & Craft Beer Festival makes its’ debut on November 3rd & 4th.

The festival’s announcement has already got a huge reaction online and throw in the fact that Sligo hosts the annual Graduation celebrations on the same weekend and it’s going to be tight for space in the BID Barn in Stephen St car park. See link below.

With a 5pm start on the Friday, this makes it a perfect ‘after work drinks’ opportunity! The first evening will run until 10pm with non-stop live entertainment right through. Saturday is more of a marathon than a sprint as the crowds can call in from midday right through til 10pm!

8 of Sligo’s finest bars will each take up a slot at the huge bar stalls and will serve you a wide range of specialty gins and craft beers. The Blind Tiger, Andersons, The Snug Bar, 5th on Teeling, Bourbon Bar, Retro Lane, Garavogue Bar The Swagman will all be present.

Tasty treats

Local craft brewers such as White Hag and Lough Gill Brewery will be well represented as will Listoke Distillery who will be creating a special live distillation of a unique Gin. To ensure no one goes hungry, there will be a number of food stalls providing a range of tasty treats!

As well as the wide range of drinks to tickle your taste buds, there will be a number of talks by the brewers themselves. Punters will also get a chance to try their own hand at making a cocktail and perhaps win some prizes for their friends in the process.

The music line up includes a raft of local talent including Leon & Leslie, Dean Mahon and Swagjammers on the Friday and Daithi O’Loinsigh, The Raglin Roads and Hi-Fi on the Saturday evening.

Admission to the event is just €7, which unbelievably includes a FREE drink upon arrival.

The event is over 18’s only and more details can be found on Facebook, below, and Instagram by checking out Sligo Gin & Craft Beer Festival.
