N4 reopened after removal of crashed lorry

A section of the busy N4 between Collooney and Castlebaldwin is now reopened to traffic.

The route had been closed yesterday to remove a truck that had gone off the at the turn off for Ballymote near Drumfin.

The 1km section where the lorry crashed has the worst record for deaths over the last three decades and accounts for 18 of the 30 deaths recorded for the Cloonamahon to Castlebaldwin stretch of road.
