Sligo campus apartments fetch €211,000

THREE APARTMENTS near Sligo Town fetched just under quarter a million euro at auction yesterday afternoon, Friday.

Sale of the Sligo properties, held in Galway, were briefly delayed when a member of the public sought further information.

Colm O’Donnellan, senior partner of the Auctioneers, said issues could be raised with the Solicitor, who was present outside the room, he said.

The apartments, number 10, 15 and 17, are situated at St Angela’s Third Level campus near Lough Gill and were sold as separate lots.

Brisk Bidding

The first two Sligo apartments sold quickly, for €65,000 and €69,000 respectively.

A four bedroom apartment, also at the St Angela’s Campus, saw busy bidding before it was knocked down for €77,000.

Located on the grounds of St. Angelas College at Clogherevagh, the apartments are used as student accommodation throughout the academic year.

They are also offered as  self-catering accommodation for the summer months.

The auction by O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers Limited was streamed live online, hosted by the Galway Advertiser  freesheet.
