Fancy a week in Crozon in May 2018?

Irish Musicians, Surfers, Cyclists, Dancers, Bridge Players, Walkers, Individuals, Heritage Groups, and members of groups, Sligo Town Twinning are organising a trip to Crozon in Brittany, France as part of its twinning link. The friendship charter between the two towns was signed in 1979 and groups such as students, musicians, sports clubs, arts groups etc have exchanged visits on  what is one of the longest and most successful twinning links in Ireland.

Crozon, is a small coastal town with a rugged coastline, great beaches, sports clubs  and friendly people. Within 15km there are picturesque fishing ports and the famous medieval village of Locronan with its many connections to Ireland  is nearby.

Sligo Town Twinning invites anyone interested in travelling as part of the contingent, whether individual, groups etc  to travel on the trip. At present we have some Irish Musicians and Special Olympic Athletes travelling.

The group will travel from 19th – 26th May 2018  via Ferry from Cork to Roscoff  and will be accommodated with host families or in hotels (at own cost), or you could like some travellers, rent a holiday home for the duration.  Some activities will be organised in Crozon for the visitors from Sligo and also there will be get togethers in local pubs each night.

This is an ideal opportunity to visit Brittany and meet local people, sample Breton culture as part of a group. Sligo Town Twinning are planning on running a 53 seater coach to Crozon for the week (the bus will be travelling over to Crozon with us, and will be at our disposal for sightseeing), the  cost of both coach and ferry including cabins return is €250.
