Sligo City Watermain Rehabilitation and Pearse Road Sewer Network Contract:
Pipelaying works will continue during the week along Wine Street between the Wine Street Car Park entrance and Union Street. Traffic exiting the carpark onto Wine Street will only be permitted to turn right with such traffic wishing to access the west side of the town (Inner Relief Road direction) having to divert around by Quay Street, Lower Quay Street, and Union Street.
Incoming traffic flows to Wine Street from the Union Street/Inner Relief Road area will be maintained during daytime hours. The length of Wine Street between the Wine Street Car Park entrance and Union Street may be subject to some full night time closures during the week (both directions from 7.00pm to 7.00am). These pipelaying works along Wine Street are expected to last a further week.
Minor works will continue along Hyde Bridge and into Lower Knox Street during the week. Normal one way traffic (east flowing) will be maintained along here.
Minor works will continue along Fatima Avenue during the week with a full road closure in place.
Minor works will begin along Holborn Hill during the week with a with traffic controlled with traffic lights
Pipelaying is expected to commence in Stephen Street carpark during the week. Access to and from the Carpark will be maintained on a single lane using a flagman system. These works are expected to last two weeks.
Installation of boundary boxes and minor footpath works are expected to be ongoing during the week in the Wine St, Stephen St, Quay Street, Lower Quay Street, Holborn Hill and Connolly Street areas.
Traffic Management will be in place at all works locations with diversions clearly signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Holborn Hill/Ballytivnan AC Mains Replacement:
Pipe installation works are ongoing on the Ballytivnan Road from St John Hospital and proceeding north towards Avondale. Traffic shall be managed using a stop go system controlled by traffic lights. Pedestrian traffic shall be diverted away from the works area. Delays may be experienced.
N16, Ash Lane, Road Strengthening and Repair:
This project will involve a complete surface replacement for the extent of the works on Ash Lane along with more significant structural repairs to weaker sections of the road. Preliminary works in the form of drainage improvements are expected to commence Wednesday, February 7th. Local traffic management will be in operation, and minimum disruption will be expected during this initial phase.
SLIGO DRUMCLIFFE AREA:N15 Mullaghnaneane-Urlar Mains Replacement Works:
Works for new watermains pipelines are being undertaken in the Cashelgarran and Urlar areas north of Drumcliffe. Works are complete in Cashelgarran on Local Road No. L-7402-0 and in Urlar on Local Road L-7308. Pipelaying on the N15 between Mullaghnaneane-Urlar is due to commence on Monday 29th and continue for next 3 weeks. Traffic management will be in operation which may cause some delays.MINOR WORKS:
Fencing works will continue on the Western Distributor Road Phase 2 with a 7 week construction period. Traffic management will be in place on the Oakfield Road L – 3601 and the Ballydoogan Road L – 9406 for access and egress to the site, minor delays are expected. SLIGO DRUMCLIFFE AREA:
Pothole repair works will continue in the Sligo-Drumcliffe Area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.BALLYMOTE AREA:
Pothole repair and Surface Drainage works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.ENNISCRONE AREA:
Pothole repair and Surface Drainage works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
Road widening and pipe laying will be carried out on the Rathosey/Seeviness road L6801-67. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided. Diversion via Loop road L68022-0 & L6802-27.TUBBERCURRY AREA:
Pothole repair works will continue in the Tubbercurry area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
