Missing woman's body found in wardrobe in Dublin house

An investigation is under way after the body of a 38-year-old woman was discovered in a wardrobe at a house in south Dublin.

RTÉ reports that the body of Joanne Lee was found by gardaí after they called to the house on Ranelagh Road at around 3.45pm yesterday afternoon.

They were investigating her disappearance, after she had been reported missing by her family three days ago.

After forcing their way into the house, officers discovered her body inside a wardrobe.

The house has been sealed off for a forensic examination to be carried out.

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which, it is believed, were sustained when he jumped from a third-floor window.

Detectives are following a definite line of inquiry in their investigation.

State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has carried out an examination at the scene.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact Donnybrook Garda station on 01-6669200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
