AT The Model

The Model is delighted to present an exhibition by renowned UK artist and Turner prize-winner Martin Creed from 31 Mar. - 03 May 2018. This screening programme comprises three films and is the final installment in a number of complementary shows that accompany our major exhibition Turbulence.

Lorcán MacMathúna: The Tain, Sat. 28 Apr., 7 p.m. €12
This once-off special event will see MacMathúna bring together outstanding contemporary dance artist, Fearghus Ó Conchúir, with traditional musicians Martin Tourish, Eamonn Galldubh, and Daire Bracken in a new interpretation of ancient Irish stories, using Louis le Brocquy’s The Tain works from The Niland Collection as an inspiration and a backdrop. >> more here >>

Snowpoet at Calry Church, Sat. 05 May, 8.30 pm. €16 / €14
The Model is delighted to present a very special off-site concert with London-based band Snowpoet. Snowpoet is led by Irish vocalist Lauren Kinsella (Jazz FM vocalist of the Year 2016) and multi-instrumentalist Chris Hyson, two of the most adventurous musicians on the exciting and creative new London jazz scene. Last month twenty children aged between 7-11 years of age celebrated the launch of a very special Zine, designed and produced by the children themselves, as part of a  young people’s community project, facilitated by The Model in partnership with Cranmore Co-op Youth City >> Read More >>
