Sligo Road and Traffic Report - 2 April 2018

MAJOR WORKS:

SLIGO AREA:
 

Sligo City Watermain Rehabilitation and Pearse Road Sewer Network Contract:


Minor works in roads and footpaths with minimal disruption to traffic. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Kilsellagh to Ballinode Pipeline Replacement Contract:


No work this week. All plant & traffic management off roads.

N16 between Abbvie roundabout and Regional Stores:

Road Works will commence on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 on the N16 Manorhamilton Road between the Abbvie Roundabout and the Regional Stores.  The works the upgrading of the existing road pavement with some footpath and drainage works.  A traffic management plan will be in place but delays are expected and motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.

Duct Survey N4 Inner Relief Road:


Duct surveying will continue in Sligo town along the N4 Inner Relief road and associated side streets in the town centre.  Pedestrian management will be in place on the footways and no traffic delays are anticipated.

SLIGO DRUMCLIFFE AREA:


Roadworks will take place on Local Road No. L-7118-0, Cloonerco, Cliffoney on Tuesday 3rd April. Works expected to last 3 days. Traffic Management will be in operation. Motorists to exercise caution.

Roadworks will take place on Local Road No. L-3404-0, Tormore, Glencar on Tuesday 3rd April. Works expected to last 3 days. Traffic Management will be in operation. Motorists to exercise caution.

N16 Lugatober Road Project:

Ground Investigation works will take place along the N16 (Sligo to Manorhamilton) between the townlands of Drumkilsellagh and Lugnagall, until early April. Traffic Management will be in operation which may cause some delays. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution.

ENNISCRONE AREA:

Pavement Management Services Ltd. have scheduled Falling Weight Deflectomer testing on the N59 in the Townland of Camcuill (3km West of Dromore West) for Tuesday 3rd April 2018. There will be a semi static Stop and Go in operation along the 1.2km stretch of the N59.

BALLYMOTE AREA:

Road surfacing works will commence on the R293 at Stonepark, Ballymote. Traffic control will be in place with delays expected. Works are expected to last 4 days.
 

MINOR WORKS:


SLIGO AREA:


A scaffolding licence has been granted for Finisklin Road 40m west of the Inner Relief Road Junction.  The scaffolding will be on the footpath with pedestrians catered for and no traffic delays are expected.

A scaffolding licence has been granted for 16 Quay Street.  The scaffolding will be on the footpath with pedestrians catered for and no traffic delays are expected.

A scaffolding licence has been granted for 10 Temple Street.  The scaffolding will be on the footpath with pedestrians catered for and no traffic delays are expected.

Fencing works will continue on the Western Distributor Road Phase 2 in the townlands of Ballydoogan, Oakfield, Maugheraboy  and Caltragh. Traffic management will be in place on the Oakfield Road  L 3601, the Ballydoogan Road L 9406 and Rusheen Lane in Caltragh for access and egress to the site, minor delays are expected with works expected to be complete on the 13th April.

Works will be carried out on Cleveragh Road along the Racecourse.  Traffic management will be in place with minor delays expected.

SLIGO STRANDHILL AREA:

Road Improvement works will take place on the L-7501-0 at Woodville. Local access only. Minor delays expected. Diversion in place.

Road Improvement works will take place on the L-2801-0 at the Hungry Rock on Tuesday 3rd April. Local access only. Delays expected. Diversion in place via Collooney.
 
SLIGO DRUMCLIFFE AREA:

Pothole repair works will continue in the Sligo-Drumcliffe Area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.

BALLYMOTE AREA:


Pothole repair and Surface Drainage works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.

ENNISCRONE AREA:

Pothole repair and Surface Drainage works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.

Road widening and pipe laying will be carried out on the Rathosey/Seeviness road L6801-67. A temporary road closure will be in place. Local access will be provided. Diversion via Loop road L68022-0 & L6802-27.

TUBBERCURRY AREA:


Pothole repair works will continue in the Tubbercurry area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
