Sligo Town Historic Tour by IT Students and Seatrails

Two Donegal students from IT Sligo are organising an event in collaboration with Seatrails, a Sligo based Tour Company who are highly recommended and rated in international guidebooks and on trip advisor.

Auriel Robinson from Seatrails will be conducting the tour. Seatrails have an excellent reputation for delivering top quality tours here in the North West. Auriel is a qualified, professional archaeologist and guide and a Wild Atlantic Way Ambassador.

The tour will highlight all the main sites in Sligo Town such as Sligo City Hall, Sligo Abbey, Yeats Memorial Building and Museum, Yeats Statute, information on The Model Sligo Museum, the River Garavogue, The Courthouse and much more.

Auriel will also highlight some of the town’s best cafés, bars and restaurants. The tour will be an excellent way to find more about this historical town. Anyone attending is assured to get much more than just the history of Sligo, they also have the opportunity to meet the locals, hear the stories of times past, learn about W.B Yeats and learn all about shipping, the harbour and the famine.
