INDEPENDENT TD from Roscommon Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has declared a gift received from Sligo on the Dail Register of property.
A Sligo Rovers hat and scarf were received from any anonymous source, the updated Register reported last week.
First elected to rhe Dail in February 2011, Deputy Flanagan is a long time supporter of the Bit of Red.
He has been highly active in a number of national campaigns, including protecting turf cutters rights and opposing the household charge.
He gave an oration at this year's Annual 1916 Commemoration ceremony which took place at the Republican Plot in Sligo cemetery on Easter Sunday where he castigated his Dáil colleagues and stated that the 1916 leaders - if they were still about - would 'puke' on today's politicians.
