Family Proms: The Song Symphony

Pop along to the Hawk's Well's annual family proms event for children aged 0-5yrs and their families featuring lullabies old and new performed by a host of fantastic musicians.

This event will also feature a new suite of music for smallies commissioned by the Hawk’s Well Theatre and composed and arranged by Lucie Crichlow, main picture.

Suitable for 0-5 years and their families. Duration: 45 min

Rubber Wellies for Sligo gig

The renowned travelling folk band The Rubber Wellies, pictured, based in Dublin, Bilbao and England are coming to Sligo this month.

Described by Mike Harding (ex-BBC 2) as 'One of my favourite bands of recent years'.

While touring Ireland in October they'll be playing Sligo Live on Sat 28th Oct at 6pm in Sullivan's on the Mall.


Jimmy Carr LOVES Ireland.

The comedian has just announced an Irish tour for 2018, which has a whopping 12 dates.

He'll be performing at The Knocknarae Arena at IT Sligo on 7 April next year.

Tickets from €35 go on sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.

The Bingo Bus is Coming! -  New Single by Kieran Quinn with Seamie O’Dowd & John-Joe Kelly

The second release from Kieran Quinn’s highly anticipated new ‘Our Place’ album is ‘The Bingo Bus’ was released yesterday, Thursday 21st September. See Video below.

The chipper upbeat track stars Seamie O’Dowd & John-Joe Kelly and is sure to become a much loved favourite. Kieran was inspired by the story of a musician who when asked by an RUC officer for I.D. on crossing the border into Northern Ireland, pulled out a poster of the gig he was travelling to and said ‘That’s me’! The border patrol officer wasn’t impressed and the musicians were made unload all the gear from their van and missed the gig.  The tale of what happened next is woven into the must-listen song lyrics.
