Call for Sligo graduates to support the global Irish whiskey success story

Irish Distillers, Ireland’s leading supplier of spirits and wines and producer of the world’s most well-known and successful Irish whiskeys, is calling on applicants from Sligo to join the Jameson International Graduate Programme and realise their potential while helping grow one of Ireland’s best known brands.

Irish Distillers is looking for graduates from Sligo to follow in the footsteps of Roisin Macey, Saraid McCarrick and Gary Feeney from Sligo who are currently Jameson Brand Ambassadors in San Francisco, Quebec and Nashville respectively.

Jameson continues to spearhead the renaissance of the Irish whiskey category, with the brand reaching its 27th year of consecutive growth, making it the most dynamic premium spirits segment globally.

This year Jameson is looking to recruit over 20 graduates for roles in markets such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain, China, Japan and Russia where they will have a unique opportunity to develop fundamental business leadership skills with a globally successful Irish brand, supported by Irish Distillers’ and Pernod Ricard’s international network. At present, there are 75 graduates working in 42 global markets as part of the three-year Jameson International Brand Ambassador programme.

Gary Feeney from Drumcliffe, who is currently Jameson Brand Ambassador in Nashville said: “My experience on the Jameson International Graduate Programme has been amazing. It is incredible to think that as a new graduate,

I am playing a role in driving the success of an Irish brand globally and supporting the global Irish whiskey success story. Already I have encountered numerous challenges and in dealing with them, honed skills which will stand to me whatever my next career move may be. Knowing that the global Jameson family are there to support me on this exciting journey makes this experience all the more rewarding. Nashville is a long way from Drumcliffe, but it’s been an incredible adventure and one I’d encourage everyone to try!”
