SLIGO AREA:Sligo City Watermain Rehabilitation and Pearse Road Sewer Network Contract
Pipelaying works will continue along Connolly Street during the week with a full road closure in operation. Diversion routes are signed via Burton Street, Lower Pearse Road and Mail Coach Road. These works are expected to last a further two weeks.
Pipelaying works will continue along Stephen Street during the week progressing towards Hyde Bridge. Parking restrictions will be in place but single line traffic will be maintained.
Pipelaying works will commence along Lower Quay Street during the week with local diversions in place. These works are expected to last 2-3 weeks.
Pipelaying and road reinstatement works are expected to have finished up along Union Street by early in the week with the Road Closure being lifted.
Installation of boundary boxes in footpaths will be ongoing along Old Market Street during the week.
Minor Footpath works will continue on Castle Street, Bridge Street, Thomas and Teeling Streets.
Traffic Management will be in place at all works locations with diversions clearly signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Holborn Hill/Ballytivnan AC Mains Replacement:
Holborn Hill/Ballytivnan AC Mains Replacement has commenced on Holborn Hill. Works are currently adjacent to the Northside Community Centre and are proceeding north towards Ash Lane roundabout. Trenchless technology is being utilised as the pipeline replacement method to reduce the potential impact and traffic disruption. Parking restrictions are currently in place. Traffic is controlled using a give and take system, with flag men deployed at peak times to reduce traffic disruption. Motorists are advised to adhere to the temporary parking restrictions in addition to the existing parking restrictions.
Works will continue southwards on Holborn Hill L-9002 for the Father Flanagan Housing development. Temporary Traffic Lights are in operation at the junction of Holborn St/Barrack St/Holborn Hill. Minor delays can be expected. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.N59 Ballysadare Drainage Works:
Works are due to commence on drainage works on the N59 West of Ballysadare village outside of Harrington’s Quarry on Monday 6th November. It is envisaged that Temporary Traffic Lights will be in place for four days and delays are expected.
O’Connell Street Sewer Rehabilitation Works
As part of the O’Connell Street Sewer Rehabilitation Works being undertaken by Irish Water, O’Connell Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Monday October 30th until Tuesday November 21st between the hours of 7pm and 7am. (Night Time Closure). A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works. Diversions will be in place via Lower John Street, Adelaide Street and Wine Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
SLIGO DRUMCLIFFE AREA:N15 Teesan Culvert
Rehabilitation works are taking place to a culvert on the N15 National Primary Road at Teesan, approximately 3km north of Sligo City. Traffic management with temporary traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the works with delays expected. Works are expected to last for several weeks.Rathcormack
Traffic calming works will continue in Rathcormack along the N15 for the next four weeks. While traffic management will be in place, it is not expected to cause significant delays.SLIGO STRANDHILL AREA:
Traffic management will be in place on the N4/N59 junction at the Southbound off ramp at Belladrehid to allow for advance works for oversize load transit. This will take place on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th November. No delays are expected.
A stop/go traffic management system will be in place in Ballisodare on Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th and Friday 17th during daylight hours to allow for work on pedestrian traffic lights. The pedestrian crossing will be closed for the period Monday 13th to Friday 17th. Minor delays are expected. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
The raising of ironworks will commence on the R293 at Stonepark/Abbey Terrace. Traffic control will be in operation. Works are expected to last 1 week.
Drainage works will be carried out on the N59 from Corhownagh to Dromore West. A stop/go system will be in operation. Minor delays expected.
Wall construction is continuing at the Cloona Graveyard, Enniscrone. Traffic management is in place. No delays expected.
MINOR WORKS:Sligo Area:
Footpath works will continue at the entrance to Dick Kent Park. Minor delays expected.
A Scaffolding Licence has been granted for 68 Lower John St. Works are expected to last until 17th November, 2017.
Repairs to traffic lights at Inner Relief Road/Lord Edward Street junction are planned for Wednesday/Thursday evening from 7pm to 12 midnight. Diversions will be in place. Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
Works will continue on the access road to Oaklawn Housing Estate, Pearse Road with traffic management in place. Minor delays are expected.
Drainage works will be carried out in the Enniscrone area. Traffic management will be in place, minor delays expected.
Pothole repair works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
Road Restoration will be carried out in Carrowpadeen, Rathlee, commencing Monday 16th for 3 days approx. Traffic management will be in place. Minor delays expected.
Pothole repair and Surface Drainage works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
